Decadent Frosted Brownies are everything a chocolate lover wants in a dessert. Rich and delicious with a fudge frosting that melts in your mouth.

Recipe: Decadent Frosted Brownies (1)I have been hanging on to this Decadent Frosted Brownies recipe to share with you for a few weeks now… not because it isn’t good. These rich and moist brownies are actually really amazing, especially with the creamy chocolate frosting and chopped Diamond walnuts. The reason I haven’t shared this recipe with you yet was that I didn’t want it to get overshadowed by all of the Christmas goodies being shared around the web. Although I would love to eat brownies just about any time of year, they just don’t quite fit into the traditional holiday baking mold like say, eggnog desserts or cut out sugar cookies.

I’ve mentioned on Dine & Dish before that I’m a bit of a brownie snob. I am a purist… I don’t like things mixed into my brownies that don’t belong. However, I LOVE brownies with toppings like this recipe. I took a brownie recipe I love and adapted it by replacing some ingredients with some vanilla Greek yogurt. Then I topped it with the most amazing, rich chocolate frosting and walnuts…the same topping I use on my Texas sheet cake recipe. I just can’t even get over how good it is.

So, now that Christmas is over and before you all start your “I’m going to be good and healthy in 2014” resolutions, I think you need a little brownie love in your life, don’t you? Add some ice cream to really be naughty. Enjoy!

Brownies make everything better. Chocolate is good for the soul-at least that’s how I’m rationalizing it! Everything in moderation, right? Cheers to 2014!

Just beautiful and just what I need. I love eggless recipes! Did you use black walnuts? Few people do but I love them. English walnuts don’t usually look this black. Thanks.
